Alicia Vilar and her staff at San Miguel Weddings have been producing creative weddings in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, for the past 10 years.

Alicia has a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, and a Diploma in Planning from the Organization of American States. Wide experience in the hotel industry (as catering manager, concierge, and general manager), as well as in corporate sales and public relations.

Originally from Mexico City but with family in San Miguel de Allende, she was a frequent visitor to this destination during many years until she moved here 10 years ago. Initially working as general manager at a boutique hotel, Alicia Vilar had the opportunity to plan and serve numerous weddings, and realized the need for a professional full service wedding consultant in this destination. She found in this activity, in conjunction with catering, the ideal way to bring together her previous knowledge and experience, and opened San Miguel Weddings in 2002.

San Miguel Weddings is not affiliated with any establishment, so you can choose the venue that best suits your individual needs. Therefore, we don’t sell wedding packages; we offer you custom weddings with the most personal attention and flexibility. We are 100% bilingual and bicultural, with in depth knowledge of local vendors, Mexican food, culture, customs and traditions.
